Aggie Hat

For decades Thanksgiving meant the Texas vs A&M game, the biggest rivalry in the state, possibly in the union, but sadly now they are in different conferences.  So in memoriam, I designed this hat just in time for Thanksgiving.  Gig'em Aggies.

  • G Hook
  • Red Heart Super Saver Economy yarn, 1 skein burgundy, 1 skein soft white
  • Poly-fil stuffing
  • tapestry needle
Abbreviations
ch(s)--chain(s)    dc(s)--double crochet(s)     sl st--slip stitch   st--stitch
sc(s)--single crochet(s) beg--beginning    sc2tog--single crochet 2 stitches together
rnd--round

Assembly

With burgundy yarn backstitch around the edge of one of the the hand pieces.  Make sure the thumb is facing to the right. Then backstitch the fingers.

Whip stitch the 2 hand pieces together, stuffing as you go.

Make a stitch in the center of the back of the hand and pull it through to the front to make a crease in the hand.

Sew the hand onto the front of the hat.
