Crochet Parfait: Shamrock Shawl

I found this beautiful stitch on MyPicot.com and I thought it would make a lovely shawl. I've adjusted the stitch somewhat to make it work for my purposes. Enjoy!

Shamrock edging--ch 12, dc in 3rd ch from hook, ch 3, sl st in bottom of dc, *ch 3, dc in same st as 1st dc, ch 3, sl st in same st as 1st dc* 2 times, ch 9, sk 6 sts on shawl, sc in 7th st

Repeat the shamrock edging and ch 3, sk st, sc, ending with a Shamrock (you may have to adjust how many sts on the shawl you skip to make this work), then sc in the last eight scs on the edge of the shawl. Finish off, leaving a tail for weaving in. Weave in all tails.
