Hdc2tog--Half Double Crochet Two Together--Yarn over (YO) hook, insert hook into stitch (st), pull up a loop, 3 loops on hook. YO hook, insert hook into next st, pull up a loop, 5 loops on hook. YO hook, pull through all 5 loops on hook.
Was working on a project and it did not want to work out... So it turns out I do not know my crochet stitches.... Not 2 hdc in 1 st but a hdc2tog. This helped me finish it!! Thanks allot!!!****
I am working a pattern that uses hdc2tog. I have worked the row from left to right. Now I am ready to turn and work back. Do I do hdc2tog or regular hdc? The pattern doesn't say
Thanks for the help of this stitch. Used sc2tog before but not the hdc2tog. Thanks for the excellent explanation and the pictures. I needed this stitch in a knee high sock pattern that I'm following and I didn't know how to do this stitch, thanks so much!
thanks
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome. This is a stitch that not many people know about.

ReplyDeleteI am working a pattern with hdc2tog do I insert hook in first st after ch 2 or second st?
ReplyDeleteThe first stitch. You insert in the first st for scs and hdcs, the second st for the rest of the stitches.
