I've finally stitched the last cross stitch on this bad boy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I decided to do the black, orange and white yarn in single crochet and then cross stitch the red and yellow yarn over the top. It gives the flame a bit of a 3D effect.
Now I just have to weave in all these loose ends! But once I've finished the back should look fairly tidy.
If you would like to make this afghan, you can find the post on it here.

Congratulations Pamela. I know, oh how I know, what a project that is. I am still working on mine and am only 3/4's of the way done. I am using the afghan stitch and will cross stitch the yellow. Have never tried anything like this before. Blast you and your designs! (just kidding). Watching it come alive is just amazing. Thank you so much for your encouragement, your talent and your designs. And yea you are almost done. WooHoo
